PRO-TRACE HF-CCS TRACER WIRE

Pro-Line Safety Products annouces a product line that is a break through for the tracer wire market.  PRO-TRACE™ HF-CCS (High-Flex).  HF-CCS is a new formulated design that goes through an extensive annealing process to obtain the same flexibility and memory of copper tracer wire.  Currently, PRO-TRACE is offered in 2 versions:

• HS-CCS (High-Strength) - designed with twice the breaking strength of copper tracer wire to help prevent common breakage experianced with copper tracer wire

• EHS-CCS (Extra High-Strength) - designed with 6X to 9X the breaking strength of copper tracer wire and can be used for directional boring applications using 1 conductor.

HF-CCS is designed to replace HS-CCS in January, 2010.  Many utilities currently using HS-CCS have given feedback that they would like a product equal or comparable to the flexibility of copper tracer wire. 

Tracer wire flexibility is a reflection of its break load (or tensile strength).  The higher the breakload, the lower its' flexibility.  

Utilities also reported that they only require stronger break loads than copper when they are doing directional boring (HDD) with 1 conductor.  In HDD applications, our EHS-CCS line is a great fit as it provides the strength needed for boring 1 conductor of tracer wire.
